How to develop Faith ✍️

Acts 14:9-10

⁹ He sat there and listened to Paul's words. Paul saw that he he had developed enough faith to be healed, so he looked straight at him ¹⁰ and said in a loud voice, “Stand up straight on your feet!” The man jumped up and started walking around. 🙏

It so happened in Lystra(now part of the present day Turkey), there was a man who was crippled from his mother's womb. Paul and Barnabas passed via this region and preached the gospel.

As Paul was speaking, this lame Man kept listening, he paid attention and believed what Paul was speaking. When Paul looked at him, he realized that he had developed enough faith to be healed and he simply said to the Man, " rise up and walk " and the man being his first time, did not only rise up but the scripture says, " he sprung up " meaning, he jumped up with alot of energy.😆 That's the power of the word, when it enters you, things starts to work out for your good.

Now, here is the point, this man was only listening what was being said and he developed faith.

_That means you only need to listen, everytime you are listening or reading the word of God, *like you are doing now* , something is deposited in you, and that is faith._

That is why Romans 10:17 tells us that, "So then, faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

That means, not hearing anything can make your faith grow, but hearing the word of Christ. You need to take charge of the things that enter your life for the sake of your faith.

When you keep listening to rumors, you will soon start to believe in them and guess what, you will start preaching (spreading) that same rumor. But when you listen to the word of Christ, you will start believing it, it will work in your life like it did to the lame Man and soon you will start spreading it too. Glory to God.

Admonition

Mark 4:24 He said to them, “ *Pay attention to what you hear!* .......and in Proverbs 4:23 he said to them " *guard your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.*

There is nothing that contaminates a heart like what we hear or see, and there is nothing that builds a heart, I mean to build faith like hearing or seeing the right things. " *What you see is what you win!* 😅"

As you continue listening and reading the word of God, things will start changing for your good and you will soon testify here, saying " *it is working*👏 " God bless you...

_Father I thank you for preserving me from the deception that is in this present world, I know your word is at work in me everyday._

*Now, with the authority you granted to us in Christ Jesus (Mark 16:17), we declare healing over every sick person, breakthrough and change of situations in the lives of them that heard and believed this word. In Jesus name. Amen* 🙏
