The Children's Bread

John 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. (KJV)

We are living in a world where 80% of the people don’t believe in miracles and the few who believe think that it’s a very difficult thing to obtain from God.

So if you want a miracle from God, you have to cry to him for long, may be even go without eating so that God can see you and be moved.

But all these are the reasoning of men, its not scriptural. And it only make it even more difficult to obtain a miracle from God.

In the book of Matthew 15:22-28, a cananite woman had a daughter who was sick, and she knew jesus would heal her. So she decided to call upto him, “ son of David, son of David, have pity with me, my daughter is sick”.

Now, Jesus did not respond to her. So the disciples started telling Jesus to send her away because she was making a lot of noise.

Then jesus turned to her and said, “woman, it is not right to give the children’s bread to the dogs, let the children first be fed.”

But the woman became even more bold. And she said, “ ²⁷ but even the dogs eat from the crumps that fall from the masters table.” With this statement Jesus was moved and he healed her daughter.

For he said to her, “²⁸ Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment.

Jesus literally called healing as the children’s bread, you know what that means? Its something that they need and they don’t have to first beat themselves to obtain it.

Imagine having children in your home, if they need something like bread when they are hungry, they have to first fast and pray to you, or do something extraordinary to win your favor so as to get the bread. Would you feel good about it? The fact that they are hungry, you will definitely have compassion on them.

And that’s exactly what Jesus is opening our minds to. The scriptures say, God is full of mercy and compassion for us. He wants us healthy, prosperous and whole.

Exodus 34:6 "And the Lord passed by before Moses, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth.

God doesn’t inflict us with problems and sickness like most people think, it’s the devil who does that. But God is always ready to heal us.

That's why Jesus said in  John 10:10the thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy, but I have come that you might have life and have it more abundantly.

So God is willing to heal us at any moment because he wants us healthy and whole all the time. That’s why Jesus  termed miracles as the childrens bread because without it, there is suffering.

Take it from the scriptures today, you don’t need to beat your self to win Gods mercy to receive a miracle, he will do it. You only have to believe, have the faith that God will do it for you.

Matthew 17:20 Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."

When Jesus went to the lame man sited at the pool of Bethesda in John 5:1-15, he didn’t ask him to first repent of his sins, or do a fast, the scritures say, he saw that he had been there for so long and he was moved with compassion to help him.(John 5:6)

After healing him, then he warned him not to sin again because it was indeed the sins that had put him in that condition.

So, the man didn’t beat himself to obatain the miracle, it was out of mercy and compassion. Hallelujah.

Confession

Now if you have never given your life to Jesus and you want Christ Jesus to enter into your life, just say these words loud “Lord jesus, today I accept and receive you into my life as my personal Lord and savior, Come into my life and make me  born again. Amen”

Admonition

You don't need to fight for God's favor, it's already there for you, you only need to have the faith to receive it.

Miracles from God is free, the only currency for the transaction is faith, you only need the faith.

God knows you need the miracle, and the healing that's why he has made it free to obtain through faith.

Prayer

How merciful you are oh Lord, and in your mercy, you forgave us all our sins and healed all our sicknesses. For who is like you o lord in all the heavens and the earth.. I magnify your holy name and bless you forever. Thank you Jesus, Amen.
