Heavenly Father, In the name of your son Jesus Christ, Who died for our sins. May you open my eyes, heart and mind to understand your word.
Amen!
Objective
Jeremiah 3:12 Go, and proclaim these words toward the north, and say: "Return faithless people, says the Lord. I will not look at you in anger, for I am merciful, says the Lord; I will not be angry forever. Only acknowledge your guilt."
"Therefore I am surely going to teach you, this time I am going to teach you my power and my might, and you shall know that my name is the Lord." (Jeremiah 16:21).
So the objective of this is to help you overcome the world and live a victor, through the knowledge of God and his power. Amen?
Causes of condemnation
What causes Condemnation? (Do you feel condemned or feel like giving up life?
From Genesis, we can get this answer.
(Genesis 3:1) "now the serpent was more crafty than any wild animal that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman "did God say ,'you should not eat from any tree in the garden?"
In this first verse, we can see that the serpent (devil) was more crafty. Other bible versions use the word cunning. The word crafty means to use tricks or deceive someone to get what you want.
So this verse tells us that, the devil will not only use tricks but also more tricks to get your attention so as to sin (disobey God).
Verses 2&3 The woman said to the serpent, we may eat of all the fruit of the trees of the garden; but "you shall not eat of the tree at the middle of the garden, nor shall you touch it or you shall die."
✓ It's cleare that, God told the woman the consequence (result) of disobeying his word. She knew it and even spoke of it with her own tongue.
In the same way God through his word (preachers) has warned us and told us the consequences of disobeying his word, we even speak of it. And you would think we will not sin since we know the result.
✓ Verses: 4- 7, the woman eventually gave in to sin.
The aftermath of sins
From Gen 3: 10-12 , man started feeling afraid, unworthy to be part of Gods' family and hid himself. But they failed to repent (they condemned themselves).
✓ Today so many people have counted themselves unworthy because of some issues they are dealing with, most especially addictions not knowing God is only waiting for one thing from them, and that is "to repent!"
Jesus even said it in Luke 15:7 "Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance. The choice is yours!
He then continued "I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.” ) (mark 2:16-17)
Those who never repented
In Genesis 4:8, God warned cain before he killed his brother, but he later went on and killed him. When he was asked where his brother was, instead of repenting, the scripture says, his heart was hardened. He said "am i the keeper of my brother?"
In Genesis 6, God warned people through Noah, they took him for granted (they did not repent or turn away from their evil ways), and God destroyed them with flood.
During the time of Lot, Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed with fire, since they didn't turn away from there sins. Genesis 19
✓Now, you can see that all these generations, despite of there sins, God warned them, they failed to repent and all were condemned to destruction.
So, Condemnation is caused by sinning and refusing to repent. Remember, the very sins these People were purnished for, seem normal to this generation.
Jesus then emphasized, in Luke 13:3 "No, I tell you. But unless you repent, you too will all perish"
The power of repenting
To repent, is to admit (accept) that you did wrong and are sorry and ready to change. In most cases we repent but we don't mean with our heart.
In the book of Jonah, God sent Jonah to go and preach to the people of Nineveh to repent from there sins or else they would be punished. Jonah 3:5 tells us that;
5"The people of Nineveh believed God; they proclaimed a fast and everyone, great and small, put on sack cloth"
10"when God saw what they did, how they turned from there evil ways, God changed his mind about the calamity that he had said he would bring upon them; and he did not do it."
In this verse, the first thing is that, they believed God. Then fasted and put on sack cloth. But what did God see? God saw how they turned from their evil ways. Then he changed his mind.
I know someone will say "as for me have tried to stop sin(addiction) but have failed, now only waiting to be condemned." No, that's why Jesus came, He brought the power to help you overcome sin. When you repent the forces of sins are broken in the name of Jesus!
That's why Jesus said in Luke 15:7 "Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.
So, you can see, they did not say "if your sins are small, and you repent, then there will be joy in heaven" but He said "any sinner who repent" then there will be joy in heaven.
My question for you is, "if the people of Nineveh, a city that God had already decided to be destroyed and only sent Jonah to inform them, when they repented, God changed His mind, won't he change his mind on you?
Listen, God is not asking you to put on sack cloth, but to believe in His son and stop wicked ways of life. Amen?
The scripture says, Psalms 103:3 "He forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases."

Why the blood of Jesus can set you free
When the Israelites were in Egypt in bondage of slavery, God stormed the Egyptians with many plagues, but the heart of pharaoh was still hard and he refused them to go.
God said "let my people go!" But Pharaoh boldly said, no!. After a lot of tension pharaoh still refused.
God finally gave instruction for all Israelites to kill a lamb. In Exodus 12:21, "the lambs were selected and slaughtered as Passover lambs. The blood of the lambs were smeared at the door post. None of them was to go out of the house.
All Israelites did this and God spared them from punishment but none of the Egyptians escaped. After this, the Egyptians left the isrealites to Go. Infact they chased them to leave there country.
✓ In the same way, God in his merçy sent Jesus christ, as a lamb which was killed so that by declearing his blood over our life we can be set free from slavery by sins, forces of darkness, etc. Thats why in isaiah 53:5 it states "by his blood, you are set free."
Don't you know that Jesus was killed when the Israelites were in the period of Passover celebration?
When you believe in Jesus, and declare his blood over your life, no sin, addiction or forces of darkness can stop you, instead they chase you to go.
What if the isrealites had started arguing about how that could be possible (how the blood of a mere lamb could save them), would they be saved from slavery? No, God doesn't need to be questioned. He said "just as heaven is far away from the earth, so are my ways and thoughts far away from your ways and thoughts "~(Isaiah55:9)
✓ My question for you is, "if the blood of the lambs could set the Israelites free from slavery, how much more can the blood of the son of God set you free from addictions, sicknesses, forces of darkness, etc?

The tree and it's deception
There is a tree, it's root is called sin and it's stem called stupidity. It has several branches; one of it is called addiction, another sexual immorality, another disrespect, another confusion, another thefty, while another vulgar languages, etc.
This tree will soon be cut and whoever is hanging on any of the branches will be thrown in fire together with this tree.
I don't really know which branch you may be hanging on but if you are sitted on this tree, please come down before it's too late.
The tree is so deceptive that it makes people feel like they can not live without them. But remember, a stupid fly follows a dead body to the grave.
✓ If you have decided to believe in God's son, that He came to set you free. Just say this prayer;
Heavenly Father,
In the name of your son Jesus,
I recognize my sins,
And therefore i ask for your forgiveness
I declare Jesus as my Lord and savior,
am ready to walk by His word
Amen!
You are now a child of the most high God. For in;
Romans 10:9 tells us that, "if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, then you will be saved."
See verse 11 "for no one who believe in him will be put to shame. Amen?
You are no longer condemned
Indeed, as it is in the book of Romans 8:1 "therefore, there is now no condemnation on those who live in Union with Christ Jesus."
The word "union" means, the act of joining together two or more things or persons. Once they are in Union, they become one in all ways, for example, in idea, they also listen to each other.
Now, to be in Union with Christ Jesus, is to follow his teachings and live by his words. And his words are not hard to bear.
Thats why in Mathew 11:29-30 He said, carry my yoke and put it on you and learn from me. for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Not like the law.
The yoke was used in Jesus' time to direct the oxen, it was put on its neck like the ones for the cow and the person controlling keeps guiding the animal from a distance using a chain attached to the yoke. Once on the neck, the animal just follow the direction in which the yoke points to.
In the same way, Jesus is saying, make my word be like a yoke to you, let it be your guide, learn from me (I am gentle and lowly in heart) and you will find rest for your soul.
Then in John 8:31 he said "if you hold to my teachings, then you are truly my disciple"
So when you hold to the words of Jesus, which is the spirit and life, then "you will know the truth and the truth will make you free" (John 8:32).
He then said "you are already made clean because of the words I have spoken to you"(John 15:3). So you are already free from sin (condemnation), sicknesses, depression, poverty.... just obey his word.
For Christ to remain in you, is to have His word in you. So you have to read the Bible frequently and listen to sermons (preachings) inorder to be fully equipped with his word. Amen!
Those who have sinned too much
In "John8:3" The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery; and making her stand before all of them, 4 they said to him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the very act of committing adultery.
5 Now the law of Moses commanded us to stone such woman. Now what do you say?”.6 They said this to test him, so that they might have some charge to bring against him.
Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground.
7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let anyone among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” 8 And once again he bent down and wrote on the ground.
9 When they heard it, they went away, one by one, beginning with the elders; and Jesus was left alone with the woman standing before him.
10 Jesus straightened up and said to her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” 11 She said, “No one, sir.” And Jesus said, "Neither do I condemn you. Go your way, and from now on, do not sin again.”
This verse is very clear, Jesus is not condemning you, but he is telling you to not sin again. Amen!
You are now free, stop living condemned and start praising God.

NB: Further readings; Read about the end of time, because Jesus warned the people of this generation for knowing how to interpret other signs but failing to interpret the present time. (Luke 12:56)
This is the reason why many people are living just the way their life pleases them, otherwise;
"if they were wise, they would understand this; they would discern what the end would be." (Deuteronomy 32:29 )
